Learning Environment Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete process of reviewing education space requests

• Analyze blueprints and assess enrollment and program requirements

• Create 2-D and 3-D designs that align with both aesthetic and functional criteria

• Choose furniture, storage units, carpets, and additional materials for indoor and outdoor learning environments

• Harmonize developmental best practices with budgetary and spatial limitations

• Generate drawings, renderings, and other design outputs

• Integrate early learning and K–12 curricula and standards into space recommendations

• Collaborate with team members to communicate Lakeshore's vision to school stakeholders

• Address inquiries and represent Lakeshore's philosophy with assurance and care

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in classroom teaching, curriculum development, or a similar educational position

• Proven capability to read and interpret architectural blueprints or floor plans, or equivalent experience in space planning within an educational environment

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

• Willingness to learn design or specification software such as CAP/CET Designer

• Bachelor's degree in education, interior design, environmental design, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience

• Capacity to work remotely and independently while managing multiple project requests with strong follow-through

• Preferred hands-on experience in space planning, furniture specification, or learning environment design

• Familiarity with Lakeshore's early learning or K–12 product offerings is preferred

• Must meet employment eligibility verification requirements; Lakeshore participates in E-Verify
