This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Facilitate captivating training experiences.
• Lead and co-facilitate pre-designed training sessions for staff and volunteers, both virtually and in-person.
• Create an inviting and inclusive learning atmosphere that promotes participation and connection.
• Support various training formats, including workshops, discussions, and applied learning experiences.
• Document the current status of outdoor leadership training.
• Collaborate with Chapter Volunteer Communities to outline how volunteers progress into leadership roles, capturing essential experiences, supports, and transitions along the way.
• Gather insights through conversations, observations, and existing materials.
• Assist in building a shared understanding of training and leader engagement practices across chapters.
• Monitor participation and promote continuous improvement.
• Collect attendance, feedback, and engagement data from training sessions.
• Keep organized records of training activities and outcomes.
• Act as a connector across teams and communities.
• Foster relationships with staff, volunteers, and chapter leaders.
• Address questions and support participants throughout the training experience.
• Contribute to a positive, participant-centered learning culture across AMC.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, training, outdoor recreation, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in facilitating training programs.
• Confidence in leading groups (both virtually and in-person), with a clear and engaging presence.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to listen, synthesize feedback, and communicate insights effectively.
• Experience in collecting feedback or documenting processes is advantageous.
• Comfort in working with a diverse range of individuals, including volunteers and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• A genuine passion for outdoor experiences and AMC’s mission.
• Insurance: Available for positions lasting 6 months or longer and for those working over 30 hours per week.
