Learning Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Transform business and performance requirements into high-quality, learner-focused learning solutions that enhance capability and performance.

• Refine validated briefs to comprehend business needs, performance challenges, target audiences, contexts, and limitations.

• Convert needs into clear learning outcomes and design specifications.

• Create blended learning experiences that utilize instructor-led, virtual, on-the-job, self-directed, and digital modalities.

• Develop various learning materials, including ILT and VILT resources, workbooks, facilitator guides, job aids, learner handbooks, storyboards, scripts, e-learning content, and video assets.

• Leverage creative and instructional design expertise within the boundaries of business and operational constraints.

• Pilot, test, and refine learning packages based on feedback, testing, and data analysis.

• Collaborate with operational stakeholders, subject matter experts, and colleagues from the Learning Team.

• Create facilitator toolkits and materials for train-the-trainer sessions.

• Assess learning experiences against intended outcomes and refresh, enhance, or discontinue solutions as necessary.

• Uphold design governance throughout documentation, testing, accessibility, review cycles, and version control.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in learning design principles and instructional design, from initial brief through to evaluation.

• Strong capability in designing blended learning across ILT, VILT, digital, and on-the-job modalities.

• Experience in translating business needs into learning outcomes, design plans, storyboards, scripts, and learning materials.

• Exceptional visual communication and content design abilities.

• Proficient in using contemporary design and authoring tools.

• Solid understanding of adult learning principles, accessibility, learner engagement, and operational usability.

• Experience in piloting and refining learning solutions based on feedback, testing, and data analysis.

• Strong stakeholder management capabilities and the ability to constructively challenge ideas.

• Keen attention to detail, organizational skills, and discipline in version control.

• Experience in creating facilitator materials and facilitating effective learning delivery.
