📋 Description

• Remain informed about evidence-based educational practices and trends in instructional design, driving continuous enhancement in our learning design methods and processes.

• Oversee the structure and organization of learning pathways to guarantee effective course arrangement, including ongoing updates.

• Collaborate with districts, schools, teachers, and students to comprehend how our resources are utilized in the classroom, their support for teaching and learning best practices, and their effect on student outcomes.

• Create, test, and refine prototype lessons with users to define instructional strategies, advocating for an iterative approach to content delivery.

• Lead the development of exemplary lessons and assessments, while producing accompanying documentation and briefs for writers and designers.

• Offer initial guidance and training for content writers to ensure they meet the necessary standards.

• Collaborate with our internal content editors to provide ongoing feedback to content writers.

• Stay engaged with users throughout the content lifecycle, collecting feedback to inform continuous iterative enhancements of our market content.

• Utilize data and analytics to inform and optimize learning and assessment design.

• In partnership with the product lead, be responsible for ensuring the pedagogical quality and classroom relevance of the resources we provide to users.

• Coordinate topic mapping, lesson sequencing, and the creation of learning objectives to ensure logical progression and comprehensive coverage in each course.

• Ensure courses are effectively aligned with the curriculum and provide connections between curriculum levels and clear progression in difficulty/complexity within each level.

• Oversee the structure and organization of learning pathways to ensure effective course arrangement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a qualified Science teacher, preferably at the secondary level (Australia/NZ experience is preferred).

• Strong knowledge of curriculum design and assessment practices within the Australian and/or New Zealand education systems.

• Ability to lead, motivate, and support writers to produce high-quality content within project deadlines.

• Comfortable utilizing learner data, feedback, and classroom insights to continuously enhance learning experiences.

• Strong prioritization abilities and the capacity to switch between multiple tasks and teams.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering productive and professional relationships with internal teams, external contractors, and users.

• A collaborative mindset and eagerness to work cross-functionally.

• Experience coaching individuals to achieve excellence in instructional design.

• A proactive approach to elevating standards, processes, and workflows.
