This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop original content and visual designs across various media platforms.

• Generate innovative content for the OCHIN Improvement Publications portfolio.

• Transform clinical and technical expertise into practical applications.

• Review both academic and gray literature.

• Consult with internal and external subject matter experts.

• Conduct interviews with primary sources.

• Assemble cross-disciplinary teams of subject matter experts.

• Utilize user-centered design, visual design, cognitive linguistics, neuroscience, gestalt psychology, gamification, and adult learning theory.

• Design layouts, callouts, graphics, data visualization tools, illustrations, digital interactive tools, applications, videos, and virtual reality resources.

• Implement UI and UX strategies for digital interactive educational media.

• Keep abreast of trends in virtual education, adult education, and health education.

• Oversee the translation of content into languages other than English.

• Evaluate translations for clinical precision and cultural relevance.

• Approach content translation through the lens of quality improvement.

• Augment quality improvement efforts utilizing implementation science and change management techniques.

• Liaise with grant administrators about resource allocation, timelines, and deliverables.

• Collaborate with webmasters to design webpages and analyze end-user behavior data.

• Work with the Analysis and Evaluation Team to integrate feedback tools.

• Engage in material dissemination with OCHIN MarCom or designated representatives.

• Provide guidance and collaborate with OCHIN workgroups and research projects on technical solutions.

• Advise on culturally sensitive and user-friendly language.

• Create audio-visual solutions tailored for low- or no-literacy patient populations and non-English speakers.

• Participate in internal and external committees.

• Consult on supplementary educational curricula.

• Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

• Foster team growth and continuous improvement.

• Assist with the onboarding of interns.

• Support and mentor junior staff within Improvement Publications.

• Travel for on-site Go-Live support or training as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least three (3) years of experience as a content designer, preferably in the healthcare sector.

• A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, healthcare administration, English, communications, design, or a related field is mandatory.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• Strong writing and editing skills are essential.

• Professional graphic design skills are a requirement.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is necessary.

• Familiarity with user-centered design methodologies is preferred.

• Knowledge of adult education theory and best practices is desirable.

• Understanding of quality and process improvement methodologies is advantageous.

• Experience in producing audio-visual media is highly desired.

• Proficiency in recording and editing podcasts, as well as filming and editing videos using Final Cut Pro or similar software is strongly preferred.

• Experience with the Epic EHR is highly desirable.

• Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, customer service, and time management skills are required.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• COVID-19 vaccination is required as a condition of employment.

• Proof of full vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption is required prior to the hire date.

• Capability to work independently and efficiently from a home office.

• High-speed internet service is essential.

• Must have a distraction-free workspace.

• Proficiency in reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English is necessary.

• Willingness to travel nationally, potentially up to 20% of the time.
