This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop user flows, diagrams, wireframes, and designs that align with product requirements and design standards.
• Produce high-fidelity visual designs and prototypes that showcase user flows.
• Provide design specifications and supporting materials to the development teams.
• Engage in design reviews and gather feedback from fellow designers and stakeholders.
• Lead collaborative workshops that foster innovation.
• Advocate for the Product Triad and motivate impactful collaboration.
• Refine application features to enhance usability and influence key metrics.
• Assist in planning and estimating design tasks, coordinating workflows, and setting expectations.
• Conduct product research, usability studies, discovery interviews, and competitive analysis.
• Investigate domains, customer needs, technologies, and competing products and services.
• Contribute to and uphold design pattern libraries.
• Mentor and support other members of the design team.
• Collaborate with designers, product stakeholders, engineering, and international cross-functional teams.
• Maintain implementation quality while enhancing design processes, systems, and overall culture.
• Over 6 years of professional experience in UX design, UI design, product design, and/or web development.
• Self-motivated individual with exceptional time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects with changing priorities.
• A portfolio that showcases conceptualization and visual communication abilities; recommended process and design methodologies.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design processes and methodologies, particularly for enterprise software, PaaS, and on-premises applications.
• Expertise in design principles, including grid systems, typography, and color theory.
• High attention to detail and consistency in design outputs.
• Background in coordinating and executing qualitative and quantitative research, usability studies, discovery interviews, and analyzing product analytics data.
• Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional, international teams.
• Demonstrable systems-thinking abilities.
• Proficient in Figma, Figma Make, Zeplin, and other relevant AI-assisted design and prototyping tools.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field is required, or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
• Experience with cloud, on-premises, and hybrid data platforms or similar technologies.
• Preferred/additional: curiosity and experimentation with AI in design.
• Preferred/additional: working knowledge of HTML, CSS, front-end JavaScript frameworks, and mobile-centric design approaches.
• Preferred/additional: experience in designing for data streaming, data engineering, data warehousing, machine learning, and AI applications.
