Lead Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver effective test leadership and guidance within a diverse agile team.

• Take charge of the strategy, design, and implementation of automated, manual, and non-functional testing.

• Assist the team in producing application software that fulfills user requirements and is of adequate quality for user promotion.

• Oversee, mentor, and develop a small team with an emphasis on managing employee performance and supporting their career growth.

• Engage with customers, share expertise, and mentor colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in ensuring testing layers are sufficiently covered in accordance with software testing principles and practices.

• Proficient in designing, creating, and maintaining test scripts and testing methodologies, including both manual and automated testing for all application layers, incorporating non-functional test coverage.

• Familiarity with open-source Test Automation technologies (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Cypress) and configuring testing tools like Jenkins and/or TeamCity within a continuous integration framework.

• Practical knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java).

• High technical awareness and a solid understanding of software architectures.

• Experience in managing personnel, setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.

• Enthusiastic technologist, eager to broaden knowledge of the latest QA tools, technologies, and methodologies.
