Lead Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Accountable for aiding Information Technology personnel in the installation, upkeep, implementation, and ongoing operation of mid-range and mainframe software and hardware platforms.

• Assesses, recommends, and executes new system software products, updates, and releases.

• Maintains a comprehensive inventory of products, current release levels, and all updates or local modifications.

• Notifies relevant staff about new features, limitations, and considerations arising from upgrades or new products.

• Produces documentation on standard system operating procedures.

• Establishes and upholds a technical library of resource materials.

• Manages the distribution of manuals and updates to ensure careful purchasing, utilization, and currency of publications.

• Promotes online documentation wherever feasible to minimize hardcopy usage.

• Educates and advises users and IT staff on the application and comprehension of systems software.

• Acts as a liaison to vendor software support personnel as required by IT staff.

• Identifies, implements, and facilitates programs and procedures to analyze resource utilization and assist planning activities.

• Monitors team performance and takes corrective measures to encourage a productive environment.

• Coordinates disaster recovery preparation and testing of relevant technology.

• Conducts employee evaluations and organizes on-call lists for all associated responsibilities.

• Collaborates with management to develop the budget for the area of responsibility.

• Provides direct leadership on a specific technology platform to fellow members of the Systems Support team.

• SCCM

• InTune

• Active Directory

• .Net Programming (coding and debugging)

• Application Packaging & Deployment

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) - (Required)
