Lead Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee supplier quality for designated equipment and components from qualification through to final inspections and shipment approval.

• Implement supplier evaluation processes, which include quality and compliance audits, tender assessments, and onboarding of suppliers.

• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and project quality teams.

• Draft and endorse Quality Control Plans, Inspection Testing Plans, and Product Testing procedures.

• Conduct and organize Factory Acceptance Tests, Pre-Shipment Inspections, and packaging evaluations.

• Assist second-party inspection organizations.

• Create and implement surveillance audit and SRG (Safety/Health/Environment) audit plans.

• Handle Supplier Deviation Requests, Non-Conformance Reports, and Root Cause Analysis.

• Drive the resolution of intricate cross-functional quality issues.

• Review and authorize supplier End of Manufacturing Reports and issue final shipment approvals.

• Evaluate and approve supplier painting processes and related documentation.

• Aid in enhancing supplier capabilities within HRSG and BOP/HRSG scope.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Metallurgy Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Extensive experience or familiarity in power, oil & gas, or heavy manufacturing sectors.

• Demonstrated ability to influence, convey complex information effectively, and operate efficiently without direct supervision.

• Capacity to lead projects, manage timelines, and enforce quality control related to technical specifications and international standards.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Capability to analyze and resolve complex challenges.

• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.

• Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, welding, heat treatment, and coating.

• Familiarity with ASTM, ASME, and API codes.

• Knowledge in NDT.

• FROSIO certification.

• Lean Six Sigma certification.

• ISO Lead Auditor training.
