This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of presales Solutions Engineers.
• Take ownership of talent outcomes, encompassing retention, development, and performance management.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and implement individual development plans.
• Recruit top-tier Solutions Engineer talent.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and Account Executives on territory strategies and critical deals.
• Supervise and engage in technical discovery, solution design, proof-of-concept engagements, and executive presentations.
• Ensure engaging and distinctive demonstrations of the Splunk platform for Energy, Healthcare, and Retail use cases.
• Spearhead technical win strategies for intricate, high-value enterprise transactions.
• Develop and sustain expertise in the Energy, Healthcare, and Retail sectors.
• Act as a reliable leader and trusted escalation point in vertical-specific technical discussions.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Industry teams to shape the roadmap and messaging.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Channels throughout the customer journey.
• Represent the Solutions Engineering organization during business reviews, forecasting calls, and leadership meetings.
• Convert customer and field insights into enhancements in products and processes.
• Over 5 years of experience in Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a similar pre-sales technical role.
• More than 3 years of experience in people management, leading SE or technical pre-sales teams.
• Proven track record in supporting large enterprise accounts within the Energy, Healthcare, and Retail sectors.
• Strong comprehension of data platforms, SIEM, observability, or security operations.
• Experience with networking, server, application, virtualization, big data, and web technologies.
• Capability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both executive and technical audiences.
• Experience managing POCs, RFPs, and multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and engagement skills with executives.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and inspire peak performance among team members.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, ITSI/ES, or Observability.
• Experience collaborating in or alongside channel/partner ecosystems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
