This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success as the primary product expert and technical advisor for the account team.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Gong platform to effectively demonstrate and explain the technology to various user types.
• Act as a trusted advisor to both prospects and customers, ensuring they achieve the desired business outcomes and value from our Gong technology, including quantifying business value.
• Support prospects and customers with business assessments such as Proofs of Concept (POCs) and Pilots.
• Develop content that helps customers utilize Gong for specific use cases.
• Build and deliver outcome-based demonstrations and solution architecture diagrams for customers facing highly complex use cases.
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into simple explanations.
• Assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and questionnaires within the sales cycle context.
• Help remove bottlenecks by collaborating cross-functionally (Sales, Customer Success, Support, Product Management, Engineering) to close deals effectively.
• Partner with and support Marketing in demand generation initiatives such as webinars, conferences, and events.
• Contribute reusable resources to the Sales Engineering team and the broader company.
• Work closely with Product Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to provide customer feedback that influences our product roadmap and go-to-market strategies.
• Over 8 years of customer-facing experience in a solution engineering role (pre-sales) or a combination of solution engineering and related experience.
• Familiarity with sales technology, including CRMs, cloud architecture, or telephony/web conferencing systems.
• Knowledge of data flows, AI & ML concepts, analytics, APIs, webhooks, or JSON is advantageous.
• Awareness of security and privacy considerations related to SaaS systems.
• Understanding of key sales personas and workflows (such as forecasting and prospecting) within a go-to-market organization.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities.
