Lead Solution Architect, Anaplan

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive platform architecture across planning domains, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities.

• Create scalable solution designs that satisfy specified business and technical requirements.

• Establish architecture patterns regarding model structure, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), performance, and modular design throughout the platform.

• Guarantee that Anaplan solutions remain consistent with enterprise planning architecture, platform standards, and long-term scalability objectives.

• Lead the technical design for integrations with Snowflake, Power BI, ERP, CRM, and HR systems in collaboration with Data Engineering.

• Set standards for enterprise planning data models, including hierarchies, structures, and governance controls.

• Supervise data consistency, usability, and scalability across interconnected systems.

• Define modeling standards, guardrails, and best practices for enterprise Anaplan solutions.

• Oversee ALM, release management, and deployment controls across the Anaplan platform.

• Ensure readiness for audits, data security, SOX compliance, and control adherence throughout solution design and platform operations.

• Deliver enterprise technical leadership for Anaplan initiatives, architectural choices, and platform modifications.

• Guide model builders and architects on design choices, quality of builds, and resolution of issues.

• Take ownership of platform performance, reliability, and scalability reviews while proactively addressing technical risks.

• Collaborate with Product Ownership, FP&A, IT, and leadership on planning solutions.

• Facilitate architecture discussions, design assessments, and technical decision-making meetings.

• Persuade stakeholders to align solution choices with business results, platform standards, and enterprise objectives.

• Influence the Anaplan platform roadmap by converting enterprise priorities into technical plans, sequencing, and implementation strategies.

• Propel the Connected Planning strategy through architectural guidance, platform suggestions, and solution enablement.

• Recognize opportunities for automation and integration.

• Mentor architects and model builders, enhancing technical capabilities across the Anaplan delivery team.

• Document and reinforce delivery standards, modeling methodologies, and technical playbooks.

• Provide technical oversight for vendor and partner contributions to ensure compliance with architecture and delivery standards.

• Lead platform governance, auditability, and control execution through established technical processes and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years as a Certified Anaplan Solution Architect with proven experience in managing complex enterprise solution architecture.

• 5+ years of experience supporting planning solutions within an IT department, including cross-functional delivery, platform support, and stakeholder alignment.

• 5+ years of experience working with data in a data warehouse environment, including enterprise data structures, integration design, and data quality considerations.

• 5+ years of experience with SOX controls, capable of applying control, auditability, and compliance requirements to solution design and platform operations.
