This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assist in validating test solutions utilized in server hardware manufacturing facilities.
• Participate in the comprehensive architecture, definition, development, and deployment of software applications and infrastructure across customer and manufacturing regions.
• Design and create hardware validation test systems for high-volume production, including server-level (L10) and rack-level (L11/L12) systems.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for motherboard, memory, CPU, storage, and PCIe devices.
• Create, validate, release, and maintain test software and scripts to automate testing processes.
• Manage test equipment, gather and analyze data, and produce test reports.
• Support and maintain server and rack-level test software and infrastructure in production environments.
• Implement minor system configuration adjustments for new product variants or revisions.
• Keep detailed documentation of test procedures, specifications, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, manufacturing engineering, and quality assurance teams.
• Interact with internal engineering, manufacturing, quality teams, and end customers.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
• A BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may also be considered.
• At least 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing test development or sustaining roles with enterprise server, storage, or networking products is required.
• Proficiency in server hardware interaction, validation, and configuration.
• Practical experience with hardware-based validation and manufacturing test systems.
• Expertise in 2–3 core skill areas is required, with a willingness to broaden skillset.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, Bash, C, or C++ is preferred and valuable.
• Expertise in Linux development, including fundamentals of CentOS or Ubuntu.
• Experience with IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, Linpack, ptugen, memtester, or iperf for managing and stressing L10 devices.
• Specific strengths in Redfish and IPMI, with the ability to discuss recent applications.
• Experience in creating and configuring VMware virtual machines, including DHCP, PXE boot, and nginx.
• Knowledge of enterprise Ethernet datacenter switching/routing across L1, L2, and L3, including BGP, DHCP Relay, and ECMP.
• Familiarity with Arista CloudVision is a plus.
• Experience with code versioning tools, preferably Git.
• Strong understanding of professional software engineering practices throughout the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience in multi-site and multi-cultural work environments.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
• A Master’s degree in EE/CE or Computer Science is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Experience with test architecture design and methodologies is preferred.
• Experience with hyperscale customers and environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in 5 or more core skills is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
