Lead Software Engineer – Oracle/BI/.Net, Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete delivery process for Reporting and BI features, from technical design to sprint execution and production.

• Lead architectural decisions for scalable, high-performance dashboards utilizing Oracle, BI tools, Azure, and .NET/C#.

• Develop proofs of concept, review pull requests, and contribute code actively.

• Advocate for and mentor AI-first development practices using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar alternatives.

• Collaborate with Product to shape the technical roadmap.

• Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and discussions on career growth.

• Maintain engineering standards, enforce code quality gates, branch policies, code freezes, and release protocols.

• Facilitate code reviews and architectural discussions.

• Convert complex data-reporting requirements into maintainable production software.

• Work in partnership with Product, QA, DevOps, and Customer Success to ensure consistent enterprise releases.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent proven engineering expertise.

• Over 10 years of practical experience in designing and developing enterprise SaaS backend applications with a strong understanding of databases.

• More than 2 years of experience in managing engineering teams.

• Architect/Principal-level proficiency in relational databases, particularly with Oracle PL/SQL.

• Expertise in complex query optimization, stored procedures, performance tuning, and handling large-scale data.

• A robust command of SQL and data modeling.

• Experience in development-side Reporting/BI with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar platforms.

• Proven daily use of AI developer tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.

• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs using .NET/C# within distributed enterprise-scale systems.

• Strong foundation in Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint discipline, backlog management, and release oversight.

• High proficiency in Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in financial domain applications is a considerable advantage.

• Familiarity with Azure Cloud is a plus.
