This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead teams to create high-quality solutions that have a significant impact on customers and users.

• Make informed and rational decisions in a dynamic environment.

• Acquire and implement new technologies and methodologies alongside skilled colleagues.

• Oversee, mentor, and nurture a select group of staff, emphasizing performance improvement and career growth.

• Provide guidance and leadership while addressing complex challenges.

• Serve as the technical leader for the team.

• Engage with customers, share insights, and mentor team members.

• Take ownership of product/software project architecture, estimation, product planning, and the creation of user stories/requirements.

• Design, develop, test, and sustain modern software applications.

• Lead teams in the development and testing of scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

• Debug and troubleshoot live applications as necessary.

• Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team, across the broader organization, and externally when suitable.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in AWS, Node or JavaScript frameworks, TypeScript, Terraform, and AWS CDK.

• Expertise in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining modern software applications.

• Experience in providing technical leadership to teams focused on building and testing scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

• Familiarity with software development principles, practices, and patterns such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Technical ownership of product/software projects, including aspects like architecture, estimation, product planning, and user story/requirement creation.

• Proficient in software design and development across various application layers.

• Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop junior team members and the broader community.

• Familiarity with contemporary Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery methodologies.

• Effective communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Active involvement in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Experience in debugging and troubleshooting live applications.

• Proficiency with multiple programming languages and data storage technologies.

• Understanding of public cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, encompassing SaaS and PaaS solutions.
