This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
β’ Act as a technical authority for software development initiatives ranging from moderate to high complexity across both legacy and contemporary .NET platforms.
β’ Create and uphold technical specifications, solution architecture, and system documentation.
β’ Lead and engage in code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards and project-specific guidelines.
β’ Utilize strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to troubleshoot and enhance applications across various .NET versions.
β’ Work collaboratively with developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
β’ Exhibit proficiency in software design patterns, architectural principles, and best practices for creating maintainable, testable, and scalable code.
β’ Address non-functional requirements, including security, reliability, scalability, performance, and availability.
β’ Convert functional requirements into robust technical solutions, integrating with SQL Server, Azure services, and third-party APIs.
β’ Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot both Azure and on-premises infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
β’ Contribute to solution estimation, technical planning, and the development of coding and architectural standards.
β’ Remain updated on industry trends, emerging .NET technologies, and cloud-native patterns.
β’ Mentor and assist junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
β’ Over 7 years of practical software development experience with C# and .NET.
β’ Profound understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
β’ Familiarity with front-end integration in .NET web applications, including Blazor, JavaScript, and legacy ASP.NET WebForms.
β’ Experience with WCF, Worker Services, and background processing in .NET.
β’ Strong SQL Server database skills, including the capability to work with complex schemas.
β’ Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Azure infrastructure.
β’ Experience with modern DevOps toolchains, build/release pipelines, and source control (Git/Azure DevOps).
