This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide technical leadership within a domain-focused group, guiding engineers in specification-driven, AI-enhanced development.
• Ensure the quality of specifications for intricate features, addressing edge cases and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into comprehensive technical specifications.
• Lead the implementation of AI-assisted solutions utilizing tools such as Claude Code.
• Assess AI-generated and peer code for accuracy, security, performance, and architectural consistency.
• Confirm the validity of AI-generated tests and guarantee thorough test coverage.
• Promote AI workflow standards and provide guidance on development tools and technologies.
• Develop scalable software architectures with a DevOps approach.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs.
• Maintain and support UI and backend services.
• Make technical decisions and uphold domain expertise.
• Mentor engineers on the utilization of AI tools, specification writing, and code review methodologies.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to ensure cohort health and project delivery.
• Over 7 years of pertinent software engineering experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in designing and implementing enterprise SaaS systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong grasp of data structures and scalable software design.
• Expertise in C#, C++, PHP, Java, Node.js, or a comparable high-level programming language.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS/Sass, Angular, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, and other web technologies.
• Strong capability in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL.
• Proficiency in various persistence technologies, including NoSQL and indexed files.
• Proven experience with AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar tools.
• Strong skills in code review for both AI-generated and human-written code.
• Experience in mentoring engineers and converting business requirements into technical specifications.
• Well-developed source control skills using Git or a similar version control system.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or a comparable cloud platform.
• Preferred: experience with specification-driven, agentic AI workflows.
• Preferred: background in establishing AI development practices or standards across teams.
• Preferred: knowledge of principles for testable application design.
• Preferred: a track record of advising on tools and technologies that enhance productivity.
