This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• The Technical Lead is accountable for the overall design, implementation, and quality of the code produced by the team across multiple projects.

• Collaborate with IT leadership, architecture, and development teams to define the vision, strategy, and roadmaps that align with business objectives and organizational priorities.

• The Technical Lead should work closely with peers and leadership to utilize knowledge and solutions throughout the organization.

• Responsible for providing daily updates on technical design, development, and resource management.

• Coordinate with delivery leads to assign staff for projects, including associates, contractors, and/or third-party teams.

• Work in partnership with project managers to create plans and estimates.

• Collaborate with architecture and delivery leads to develop solution blueprints.

• Engage with QA and delivery leads on functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, and defect triage.

• Oversee service introduction during the hand-off to the application operations team.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Java software development, showcasing increasing levels of responsibility.

• Proven experience in leading a team of three or more software developers.

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience in creating solution designs for large-scale, highly available, mission-critical systems.

• Expertise in designing, creating, and consuming Web Services (REST, JSON, OAuth), as well as multi-tier or microservice applications in Java and large-scale database applications.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling.

• Demonstrate solid architectural skills and extensive experience in application design.

• Ability to convey complex technical design concepts and translate them into non-technical business solutions.

• Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with all organizational levels and serving as a primary contact for internal and external clients.

• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and other software development methodologies.
