Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jordan.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features from start to finish, encompassing initial design, technical scoping, production deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

• Create and enhance high-traffic consumer web applications utilizing React, TypeScript, and contemporary JavaScript.

• Develop and sustain back-end services and APIs with Java and Spring Boot.

• Convert vague product requirements into clear technical solutions and achievable timelines.

• Oversee project scope, make technical trade-offs, and negotiate deliverables with Product and Engineering stakeholders.

• Work in collaboration with UX designers and marketing teams.

• Ensure code quality, optimize performance, enhance accessibility, and adhere to web best practices.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the improvement of development practices.

• Partner with a Product Manager and Engineering Lead as key points of contact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, with a focus on front-end development.

• Solid production experience with React and TypeScript or modern JavaScript.

• Proficient in back-end development utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Capable of independently managing features from design through deployment.

• Experience in estimating work, managing project scope, and making technical trade-offs.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven experience collaborating with Product Managers and Engineering Leads.

• Background in building production-quality web applications within an Agile environment.

• Prior experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, or technical owner for significant initiatives.

• Knowledge in developing SEO-focused or high-traffic consumer web applications.

• Experience working alongside UX Designers and Marketing teams.

• History of mentoring engineers or offering technical guidance.

• Familiarity with performance optimization, accessibility, and web best practices.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and contemporary development methodologies.
