Lead Software Engineer – 100% Home office

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Serve as a technical lead in high-value services alongside architects, developers, and technical leaders.

• Maintain direct and technical communication with clients.

• Engage in pre-sales activities, solution definition, and client presentations regarding the capabilities of knowmad mood.

• Collaborate with business development on the implementation of PoCs and pilots.

• Advocate for best practices and infrastructure for development projects, including code repositories and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Participate in technical strategy meetings with representatives from technology communities to identify synergies and decide on strategies.

• Propose and technically lead new initiatives in conjunction with other technical leaders and members of expert centers.

• Design and define robust and scalable architectures aligned with business needs and quality standards.

• Analyze the technical feasibility of solutions, technologies, architectural approaches, and trade-offs.

• Bridge the gap between business and technology, ensuring smooth communication and realistic expectations.

• Lead multidisciplinary teams and evolve complex technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience as a software/solutions architect in design, estimation, risk management, and implementation of enterprise solutions.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Leader.

• Strong leadership skills in team management.

• Extensive experience with agile methodologies.

• Creativity, an innovative mindset, and initiative to propose and lead new work methods or team organization.

• Proven ability to take on management responsibilities, lead teams, and maintain client relationships.

• Experience in closed projects.

• Technical pre-sales experience: solution design, estimation, documentation, risk management, and client defense.

• Extensive experience in defining software architecture: architecture patterns, hexagonal architecture, SOLID principles, microservices, and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).

• Experience working with various programming languages and technologies.

• Design and management of REST/SOAP APIs and API Management.

• Experience in cloud infrastructure and services: AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Focus on software quality and continuous improvement of development processes.
