Lead Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and creation of highly scalable, distributed backend services utilizing Python with FastAPI.

• Create responsive and interactive user interfaces with ReactJS.

• Architect, implement, and refine PostgreSQL database schemas and queries.

• Execute unit and integration tests using Pytest and Vitest, focusing on TDD principles.

• Engage in architectural debates and contribute to technical design choices for cloud-native applications.

• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications within GCP environments, while understanding multi-cloud strategies, including AWS.

• Contribute throughout the SDLC, from requirements gathering and design to deployment, maintenance, and performance enhancement.

• Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to incorporate AI/ML models and data analytics functionalities.

• Provide mentorship to junior developers and perform code reviews.

• Operate within agile methodologies, utilizing CI/CD pipelines and Git.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in full-stack or backend software development, emphasizing the creation of distributed, scalable systems.

• Expert-level proficiency in Python, with extensive experience in developing high-performance APIs using FastAPI.

• Strong background in ReactJS for constructing modern, component-based user interfaces.

• In-depth expertise in PostgreSQL, covering database design, optimization, and advanced querying techniques.

• Proven experience with unit testing frameworks such as Pytest and Vitest.

• Solid understanding and practical experience with GCP, including Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, and Secret Manager.

• Familiarity with AWS is a notable advantage.

• Demonstrated experience with SDLC principles, agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git).

• Experience with load testing tools and methodologies.

• Strong grasp of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven design patterns.

• Proven background in integrating machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data analytics components into production applications.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

• Outstanding communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
