This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the primary technical authority for cybersecurity, firewall technologies, network architecture, and security operations.
• Design, implement, and sustain secure network infrastructures for factory test environments, server validation systems, and rack-level testing operations.
• Establish and enforce cybersecurity standards, firewall policies, network segmentation strategies, and access control frameworks.
• Lead activities related to vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, and remediation.
• Propel compliance efforts and ensure adherence to corporate, customer, regulatory, and industry security mandates.
• Apply infrastructure hardening and Zero Trust security principles within manufacturing and engineering settings.
• Provide ongoing engineering support for manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11) testing software and infrastructure, including configuration management and the deployment of new products.
• Design, administer, support, and optimize Fortinet security solutions.
• Oversee Arista network environments, covering switching, routing, segmentation, and high-availability network configurations.
• Manage VMware virtualization platforms, including ESXi, vCenter, virtual networking, and lifecycle management.
• Support enterprise server infrastructure, preferably utilizing HPE ProLiant platforms.
• Manage SAN storage environments, preferably with NetApp, including provisioning, performance optimization, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Assist with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, capacity, and availability.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across network, security, storage, virtualization, and server technologies.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, infrastructure documentation, security standards, operating procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, customer, and global IT teams.
• Provide escalation support for critical business production incidents.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies, procedures, and departmental operational requirements.
• Offer technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to engineers and technical team members.
• Advocate for engineering best practices and support skill development within the Site Reliability Engineering organization.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for infrastructure security architecture, reliability, and operational strategy.
• Domestic and international travel up to 25% may be necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related enterprise technology environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing Fortinet security platforms and Arista networking technologies in enterprise contexts.
• Proven experience securing manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, test-development, or industrial environments.
• Strong grasp of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, threat mitigation, and security operations.
• Experience in leading cybersecurity compliance programs and implementing security policies, standards, and controls.
• Demonstrated expertise in network segmentation, access controls, vulnerability management, incident response, and infrastructure hardening.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities in complex production settings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fortinet certifications (NSE, FCSS, FCX) or equivalent cybersecurity credentials.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and industrial/manufacturing cybersecurity practices.
• Knowledgeable in NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2, or similar standards.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability assessment tools, and security auditing solutions.
• Background in supporting hyperscale, cloud, AI infrastructure, or high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Experience working in diverse global, multi-site, and multicultural environments.
