This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for activities and procedures that enable the sales organization to meet its business goals.
• Operate with a degree of independence while adhering to clearly defined Commercial policies or the review of final outcomes.
• Advocate for the EMS solution to stimulate growth within the Datacenter and Industrial sectors.
• Cultivate relationships and ensure technical and commercial responsiveness, as well as a solid understanding of the business model with key, demanding, and creditworthy clients.
• Offer technical expertise to Sales and Commercial Operations for selecting, implementing, and enhancing competitive solutions.
• Analyze customer specifications, verify that offerings meet requirements, and identify any exceptions or necessary clarifications.
• Prepare the technical proposal, including deviation lists, planning, and other pertinent documentation.
• Challenge and follow up with relevant individuals to obtain the necessary data to guarantee timely delivery throughout the entire bidding process.
• Revise proposals as needed.
• Assist in business deliverables from other GEV business units on technical proposals that incorporate specific digital features.
• Aid regional commercial operations in transforming the technical proposal into a 'ready to deliver' commercial proposal.
• Monitor opportunity status.
• Collaborate on Sourcebook Articles and Technical Proposal Templates.
• Coordinate with sales managers to conduct customer calls and presentations, and participate in bid meetings and walkthroughs with clients as required.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks involved, and communicate these to the Sales team.
• Produce cost estimates for proposed solutions and establish quoting limits.
• Ensure all opportunities adhere to defined processes and review and manage proposal-related metrics.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited university or college in a business discipline.
• At least five (5) years of experience in a commercial, engineering, or technical sales role.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30% of the time).
• Technical Expertise: Bachelor’s Degree in Automation/Power Electronics Engineering from an accredited university or college in a business discipline.
• Knowledge of power balancing, including Fossil Power plants in Combined Cycle – Single cycle, Renewable impact on Power quality, and Distribution specifics for off-grid facilities.
• Familiarity with Energy Storage Systems related to Datacenters.
• Experience using SFDC (Salesforce.com).
• Knowledge of aftermarket services covering installations from initial inquiry to dismantling.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to achieve results and lead projects or bids in a fast-paced business environment.
• Strong customer-focused mindset with readiness to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient business analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in a B2B environment.
• Ability to engage with all organizational levels and collaborate with other GE Vernova businesses.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• General sense of urgency in execution and inclination towards speed, with adaptability to changes.
• Demonstrated ability to influence others through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building.
• Proven success in working collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
• Self-motivated with a high level of drive.
• Willingness and ability to work as required in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
