Lead Sales Engineering Specialist – Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist our sales and field sales engineering teams by providing in-depth technical expertise and knowledge of Fivetran’s internal security operations, relevant platform features, and the security landscape.

• Provide prompt and precise answers to security questionnaires from prospects and customers by leveraging internal tools.

• Collaborate with Legal and AppSec teams to maintain internal resources for security questionnaires.

• Spearhead documentation and internal training initiatives, facilitating the dissemination of our specialized knowledge throughout the department.

• Partner closely with Fivetran’s Product and Engineering teams to ensure our solutions align with customer requirements.

• Interact directly with prospects and customers regarding security architecture evaluations and compliance discussions, gradually taking on more responsibility.

• Remain informed about the latest advancements and trends in the security sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a security administrator, backend engineer, field CISO, or in IT services within an enterprise or similarly complex environment.

• In-depth knowledge of modern cloud and on-premise network architectures, connectivity methods (SSH, Reverse SSH, VPN, PrivateLink), and data security.

• Proficient in articulating Fivetran’s comprehensive security posture and influencing security stakeholders at all levels.

• Enthusiasm for data, security, analytics, and a commitment to leveraging technology to address business challenges, including experience utilizing generative AI to enhance and streamline daily workflows.

• Familiarity with trust center management platforms and automation tools for security questionnaires.

• Eagerness to learn and quickly absorb technical information, along with a passion for sharing knowledge and teaching others.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, SQL, and Python is a plus.
