Lead Sales Engineering Specialist, Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist our sales and field sales engineering teams by providing extensive technical expertise regarding Fivetran’s internal security operations, relevant platform features, and the security sector.

• Generate prompt and precise responses to security questionnaires from prospects and customers by utilizing internal tools.

• Collaborate with Legal and AppSec teams to maintain internal repositories for security questionnaires.

• Spearhead documentation and internal training initiatives to disseminate specialist knowledge across the department.

• Work closely with Fivetran’s Product and Engineering teams to ensure our solutions align with customer requirements.

• Directly interact with prospects and customers regarding security architecture evaluations and compliance matters, gradually increasing your level of ownership.

• Keep abreast of the newest technologies and trends within the security domain.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a security administrator, backend engineer, field CISO, or in IT services within an enterprise or similarly complex setting.

• In-depth knowledge of modern cloud and on-premise network architectures, connectivity methods (SSH, Reverse SSH, VPN, PrivateLink), and data security.

• Proven ability to communicate Fivetran’s comprehensive security posture and influence security stakeholders at all levels.

• A strong passion for data, security, analytics, and a belief in leveraging technology to address business challenges, including experience with generative AI to enhance daily workflows.

• Experience with trust center management platforms and automation tools for security questionnaires.

• A keen interest in quickly learning and assimilating technical information, along with a desire to share knowledge with others.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, SQL, and Python is an advantage.
