This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Facilitate pre-sales technical exploration and solution discussions with data architects, data engineers, database administrators, systems architects, and other technical professionals across all levels of customer organizations aiming to derive greater value from their data.
• Strategically plan, oversee, and successfully conclude technical presentations and proof of concept (POC) projects, often acting as both the subject matter expert and project manager.
• Address technical inquiries, including Requests for Information (RFIs), Proposals (RFPs), and other formal documentation.
• Educate Fivetran staff, partner teams, and the broader data engineering community on data concepts, product features, competitive positioning, and best practices through various mediums, including written articles, group presentations, customized training sessions, recorded videos, and one-on-one coaching.
• Offer technical advice and support to new clients to guarantee successful adoption and scaling.
• Possess in-depth knowledge and a positive reputation within the ASEAN region.
• Minimum of 6-8 years of operational experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP, or similar systems within an enterprise or in providing and supporting end-user database operations as a systems integrator.
• Proficient in Data Replication/Integration (CDC) tools.
• Strong understanding of data lakes, lake houses, and scalable data infrastructures for AI applications.
• Expertise in SQL scripting.
• Familiarity with Python/JavaScript and REST API interactions.
• Practical experience with contemporary databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB) in both on-premise and cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of one or more leading cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Understanding of modern cloud data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks) and data lake architectures (Kafka, HDFS, S3, ADLS, GCS, Iceberg, Delta, etc.).
• Proven success in demonstrating and articulating the value of Business Intelligence and Analytics tools.
• Ability to engage and influence technical audiences using their language, while also communicating complex technology concepts to business audiences.
• Enthusiasm for data and analytics, with a commitment to utilizing technology to address business challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and quickly assimilate technical information, along with a desire to share knowledge and educate others.
• Experience in selling to and influencing diverse decision-making groups within large, complex organizations.
