Lead Project Manager – Clinical Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee large, intricate, and strategically significant programs that span various business areas and workstreams.

• Lead by influencing rather than relying on positional authority, fostering alignment, promoting accountability, and ensuring commitment from cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Manage program planning, execution, governance, and delivery processes.

• Handle program-level risks, issues, dependencies, and resource limitations across multiple initiatives.

• Collaborate with executive and senior leaders to align priorities, facilitate decision-making, and sustain stakeholder engagement.

• Create and deliver executive-level status updates, dashboards, and recommendations.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to merge people, processes, technology, and operational readiness activities.

• Establish and uphold program governance, escalation pathways, and delivery standards that comply with PMO best practices.

• Align strategic goals, program planning, and execution to yield measurable business value and targeted outcomes.

• Mentor and coach project managers to enhance delivery capabilities, consistency, and PMO maturity.

• Identify and apply continuous improvement solutions.

• Assist in portfolio planning and prioritization to allocate resources effectively to high-value initiatives.

• Engage in a pre-recorded Voice Interview and/or SMS Text Messaging interview if selected.

• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training sessions or meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in project and/or program management.

• Direct leadership experience in managing large, intricate, cross-functional initiatives with enterprise-wide implications.

• Proven ability to influence and lead without direct authority.

• Skilled in building alignment and driving accountability among business, operational, and technology stakeholders.

• Experience in managing multiple projects or programs concurrently.

• Proficient in governance, risk management, dependency tracking, resource planning, and executive communication.

• Strong strategic thinking and business insight.

• Capability to align program execution with organizational objectives and measurable business results.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience in presenting to senior leaders, facilitating decision-making, and providing executive-level reporting and recommendations.

• PMP, PgMP, Agile, SAFe, or other project/program management certifications are preferred.

• Experience leading organizational transformation, process improvement, or large-scale operational initiatives is preferred.

• Background in coaching and mentoring project managers to enhance delivery capability and PMO maturity is preferred.

• Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office setup.

• Minimum internet speed requirement of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.

• Satellite and wireless internet services are not permitted.

• A dedicated workspace free from interruptions is necessary to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
