Lead Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical expert within development teams, making implementation choices, resolving technical conflicts, and ensuring the team adheres to consistently high engineering standards.

• Oversee the complete delivery process of intricate features across backend, frontend, and mobile platforms — from design to deployment and monitoring — while actively guiding teammates on their tasks.

• Perform comprehensive and constructive code reviews that enhance quality and expedite the development of junior engineers.

• Provide mentorship to Software Engineers through pairing, design discussions, and ongoing technical support.

• Work collaboratively with Product, QA, and Customer Success to clarify requirements, provide accurate estimates, and deliver dependable features on time.

• Proactively facilitate knowledge transfer in your areas of responsibility to teammates, ensuring the team can function effectively in your absence and preventing any single engineer from becoming a bottleneck.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience, particularly in production SaaS environments.

• In-depth knowledge of PHP and JavaScript/React, including design patterns, performance, and security best practices.

• Strong expertise in relational database design, SQL optimization, and data modeling (MySQL/MariaDB).

• Proven ability to mentor and enhance the skills of less experienced engineers.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows.
