Lead Product Designer, German-speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Take charge of product design, branding, and the advancement of the design function.

• Allocate approximately 50% of your time to hands-on product design, customer research, and brand development.

• Oversee the user experience across three primary product areas in partnership with Product Engineering.

• Collaborate with the Staff Designer to shape and advance the company’s brand.

• Lead and nurture the Design Team in Product Design, Branding, and Web Experience.

• Regularly engage with customers to comprehend their workflows and convert insights into product decisions.

• Establish design systems, interaction patterns, and quality standards across products, web, and branding.

• Work closely with Engineering and the founders in a highly iterative setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing digital products, preferably in B2B SaaS environments.

• Strong product intuition paired with analytics and customer insights to inform evidence-based design decisions.

• Significant background in conducting customer interviews and translating research into product enhancements.

• Experience in building and scaling design systems across various products or product areas.

• Passion for simplifying complexity through thoughtful and intuitive design.

• Senior individual contributor with leadership aspirations, eager to help develop a design organization.

• Proficient in using modern AI tools like Cursor, Claude, or similar to streamline design workflows.

• Fluent in German at a native level and capable of confident communication in English.
