Senior UX/UI Designer – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create UX and UI designs for digital products within the banking and insurance sectors, from initial concept to final delivery.

• Organize, execute, and assess qualitative and quantitative user research, including interviews and usability testing.

• Transform research findings into actionable design choices.

• Generate wireframes, user journeys, and prototypes informed by research findings and user needs.

• (Re-)design digital products, tools, and software solutions with an emphasis on usability and conversion rates.

• Collaborate on and contribute to design systems alongside development teams.

• Prepare and deliver design presentations to client-side stakeholders, including senior management.

• Facilitate workshops focused on ideation, requirements gathering, and conceptualization.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams within corporate environments and the internal design team.

• Assist client projects in the banking and insurance sectors from research and concept development to refined UI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of pertinent professional experience in UX/UI design.

• Exceptional portfolio showcasing design thinking and visual craftsmanship; applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities, particularly with senior-level stakeholders.

• Proficient written and spoken English.

• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including design systems, tokens, components, and variables.

• Confident use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini in everyday design processes.

• Immediate availability to start.

• A commitment to at least 6 months of project duration.

• Experience in banking, insurance, or other regulated industries is advantageous.

• Experience in corporate environments is preferred.
