Lead Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the design process for Mobilize, a key product from NGP VAN, from defining problems to launching and iterating solutions.

• Influence the design vision across the entire NGP VAN product portfolio.

• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to impact roadmap strategies.

• Convert intricate challenges into scalable solutions for both legacy product interfaces and AI advancements.

• Conduct research and usability tests to inform design decisions.

• Uphold exceptional standards for interaction quality, visual aesthetics, and accessibility.

• Contribute to collective design systems and scalable components.

• Guide and mentor fellow designers, exemplifying lead-level thinking in design critiques, strategies, and execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in product design.

• A portfolio showcasing complete ownership of complex, multi-surface user experiences.

• Experience in designing AI features and utilizing an AI pattern library.

• Proficient in interaction design and visual aesthetics.

• Background in contributing to scalable design systems.

• Experience in shaping product strategy alongside product managers and engineers.

• Strong foundation in research, including usability testing and making data-driven decisions.

• Effective and confident communication with stakeholders.

• Dedication to inclusive design practices, adherence to WCAG accessibility standards, and ethical AI usage.

• Proficient in using Claude, V0, and Figma.

• Familiarity with HTML/CSS is preferred.

• Previous experience mentoring designers is advantageous.
