Lead Physical Substation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop conceptual designs and execution strategies.

• Prepare engineering/project cost estimates and timelines.

• Conduct and document quality reviews for fellow engineers and designers.

• Create construction drawings, documents, calculations, and studies for medium and high voltage substation projects.

• Accountable for the technical delivery of power delivery engineering projects or tasks.

• Generate calculations, studies, and reports for substation and power systems projects that align with internal and client standards and requirements.

• Implement engineering design principles and practices, including relevant formulas.

• Collaborate and coordinate with small multi-discipline project teams (Civil, Structural, P&C, Transmission Line) to successfully execute substation projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in substation physical engineering.

• Proficient knowledge of substation physical design.

• Experience in high voltage substation design (from 12kV to 500kV).

• Capable of interpreting and applying standards such as IEEE, IEC, NESC, and client-specific standards.

• Familiarity with relay settings is an advantage.

• Knowledge of Protection and Controls is beneficial.

• B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.

• A PE license is mandatory.
