This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Manage the complete payment operations, which encompass invoice processing, payment disbursements, adjustments, and reconciliations, guaranteeing accuracy and promptness for all parties involved.
• Supervise payable and payment collection initiatives.
• Lead a team of payment professionals to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Perform regular audits of payment records, vendor invoices, and adjustments to ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations, maintaining a high standard of payment precision.
• Deliver quarterly reports to our External Reporting Team for internal financial filings.
• Assist the Right-of-Way Team and Towers/Dark Fiber Team with payment-related issues.
• Collaborate with customer service and finance teams to address payment-related inquiries and discrepancies, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolutions.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for payment systems and processes.
• Continuously assess and refine payment procedures, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency.
• Leverage payment data and analytics to create detailed reports, identify trends and areas for improvement, and present insights to management.
• Coordinate with external vendors and third-party payment partners to ensure smooth integration and efficient payment processing in collaboration with internal teams.
• Ensure that payment practices comply with all legal requirements.
• Collaborate closely with finance, operations, and procurement teams to facilitate seamless communication and cooperation in payment-related matters.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience collaborating with other teams on system conversions.
• Experience with expense and capital allocations.
• Familiarity with pole, right-of-way/easement, franchise, dark fiber, and tower contracts, as well as inventory systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Brightspeed payment and billing systems.
• Ability to generate expense/payment reports for Poles, Right-of-Way, Towers, and Dark Fiber upon request.
• Understanding of GIS systems to evaluate data provided by vendors.
• Knowledge of telecommunications industry regulations and payment best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent project management and communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented approach, ensuring high accuracy in a high-volume payment environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant payment software.
