Lead Mission System Operator – Contingent Upon Contract Award

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Carry out wide-area data collection missions utilizing remote sensing techniques.

• Gather and assess information while serving as an aircrew member on a multi-role aircraft.

• Offer leadership, mentorship, career guidance, and management for assigned Mission Support Officers (MSOs).

• Foster a robust safety culture within the team.

• Conduct initial, recurrent, and mission qualification training sessions.

• Execute MSO standardization evaluations, line checks, and proficiency assessments.

• Operate and maintain air surveillance and reconnaissance equipment along with mission systems.

• Facilitate real-time communication and the distribution of multi-source information with aircrew and ground assets throughout all flight phases.

• Manage ground-based communications systems and Small Secure Datalink radios.

• Engage in mission planning, execution, briefing, debriefing, communication, and safety activities.

• Articulate sensor and system capabilities and limitations effectively.

• Collaborate with site operation managers, pilots, technical leads, and processing teams.

• Provide weekly sensor degradation logs and sensor health reports.

• Diagnose hardware, software, and collection equipment issues.

• Complete field logs and data transfer responsibilities.

• Ensure the safe and secure utilization of company and government equipment and instruments.

• Adhere to governing regulations and established standard operating procedures.

• Perform other assigned or required tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree along with six (6)+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.

• At least two (2) years of experience in supervising or leading teams and projects.

• A current FAA Class III Medical Certificate.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Minimum age requirement of 21 years.

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

• Possess a valid passport and state driver’s license.

• Hold an active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

• Ability to meet all contractual/program training requirements successfully.

• Familiarity with ISR collection tactics, techniques, procedures, and the targeting cycle.

• Capable of passing a background check successfully.

• Able to successfully pass drug screenings during both pre-employment and active employment phases.

• Preferred: Current DoD Top Secret clearance or higher.

• Preferred: Prior experience with U.S. Military Special Operations Forces (SOF).

• Preferred: Experience with MX-15 and/or SAFIRE HD camera systems.

• Preferred: Recent operational ISR experience.

• Preferred: Airborne ISR MSO experience within the last five years.
