Lead Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and execute intricate, scalable system architectures while guiding team members and promoting technical excellence.

• Lead code review sessions and set best practices to guarantee high-quality outputs throughout the engineering team.

• Enhance database performance and devise robust data solutions, especially with PostgreSQL and query optimization.

• Architect and sustain messaging systems using Kafka or comparable technologies to manage high-volume data streams.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate production challenges, fully owning system reliability and performance.

• Facilitate technical discussions and encourage collaborative problem-solving among cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive production experience with Java and a deep understanding of JVM internals and the related ecosystem.

• Strong capabilities in system design, with a proven track record of documenting and implementing complex architectures.

• Advanced knowledge of relational database principles, expertise in PostgreSQL, and skills in performance tuning.

• Solid understanding of messaging concepts, ideally with experience in the Kafka ecosystem.

• Exceptional troubleshooting skills along with a strong comprehension of concurrency principles and security best practices.

• Leadership experience that includes mentoring team members and upper-intermediate English proficiency for effective stakeholder communication.
