This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Validate existing connections among Oracle, custom applications, reporting tools, and external services.
• Create a current integration map and pinpoint connections that pose the highest risk or require the most effort.
• Design the target integration architecture and establish rules for future connections.
• Determine priority connections and the sequence in which they should be addressed.
• Lead the technical requirements gathering and evaluation for the integration platform.
• Define effective patterns for APIs, events, files, scheduled transfers, monitoring, and error management.
• Collaborate closely with the Oracle Technical Architect and Security Architect.
• Estimate the delivery effort, required skills, dependencies, and technical risks for each phase.
• Produce clear diagrams and decision documents for senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Ensure a smooth transition into implementation.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in technology architecture.
• Significant recent experience in leading enterprise integration architecture initiatives.
• Proven track record from at least three programs involving ERP, Oracle, custom applications, or complex legacy systems.
• Hands-on experience in replacing direct system connections with a managed integration strategy.
• Strong understanding of APIs, messaging, event-based integration, file transfers, and batch processing.
• Experience in evaluating integration platforms and implementation partners.
• Ability to transform incomplete technical information into clear decisions, cost estimates, and delivery steps.
• Capable of producing straightforward executive diagrams as well as detailed technical designs.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Based in the United Kingdom and authorized to work there.
• Available for approximately 28 days over an 8 to 10 week timeframe.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain sectors is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Oracle estates is also beneficial.
• No specific integration platform is mandated as the choice has not been made yet.
• Engagement subject to contract, reference checks, and an IR35 status assessment.
• Flexible delivery schedule throughout the designated 8 to 10 week period.
• Direct access to Intelance's Chief Enterprise Architect and senior client decision-makers.
• A clearly defined project with specified outputs and decision milestones.
• Potential for subsequent architecture and delivery work, contingent on program approval and performance.
• Pre-agreed travel expenses reimbursed separately.
