This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the design vision and direction for all products.
• Collaborate with the Studio Head and Game Leads to establish the product design direction.
• Transform ambiguity into clear, actionable design decisions ready for implementation.
• Set and uphold standards for design documentation, including economy and progression sheets, A/B tests, and playtesting.
• Lead the design of major systems across core loops, progression, economy, monetization, and LiveOps.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor a diverse team of game designers.
• Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with direct reports and develop succession capabilities.
• Oversee the studio-wide A/B testing pipeline and establish best practices.
• Translate test insights into prioritized backlog items and actionable design tasks.
• Spearhead research and development in game design tools, data analysis pipelines, dashboards, and predictive modeling.
• Stay updated with product analytics and dashboards.
• Engage the studio in regular playtesting, maintaining approximately three hours of playtime per product each week.
• Participate in design reviews as a quality advocate.
• Clearly communicate status updates, risks, next steps, decisions, and success criteria.
• Deliver comprehensive documentation on design vision, quality standards, team specialization progress, A/B testing processes, applied R&D results, and structured design reviews.
• 5–10+ years of experience in mobile free-to-play game design.
• Significant experience in leading or mentoring design teams.
• Successfully launched multiple live products or major updates, beyond just prototypes.
• Solid understanding of systems design across gameplay, retention, progression, economy, monetization, and LiveOps.
• Excellent design documentation skills, including specifications, economy and progression sheets, and tuning plans.
• Proven experience managing A/B testing processes, from hypothesis generation to test design, analysis, and decision-making.
• Proficient in using product analytics and dashboards such as ByteBrew and Adjust.
• Comfortable leading remote teams and influencing without direct authority.
• Exceptional English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Must be available for at least 4–5 hours of overlap with Pakistan Standard Time (GMT+5).
• Nice to have: expertise in hybrid simulation/management games.
• Nice to have: experience in building multidisciplinary design teams and specialization tracks from the ground up.
• Nice to have: familiarity with predictive modeling and design analytics pipelines or dashboards.
• Nice to have: understanding of Unity pipelines and constraints.
• Nice to have: experience working across various time zones.
• Tools used include: Coda, Miro, Asana, Slack, ByteBrew, and Adjust.
