Lead Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Guiding the technical strategy of the frontend application stack — including architecture, standards, and the trade-offs that ensure the platform remains swift and manageable.

• Actively engaged in TypeScript and Rust — personally developing and evaluating the most essential or intricate tasks.

• Creating real-time, data-rich trading interfaces for FX, Equities, and Cryptocurrency, along with the application services that support them.

• Taking ownership of code quality throughout the team via reviews, design sessions, and the standards you establish and uphold.

• Mentoring the engineers on the team — enhancing their technical skills and the non-coding abilities necessary for growth.

• Collaborating with the CTO, CDO, Technical Delivery, and Client-facing teams to shape the roadmap and convert priorities into tangible software outcomes.

• Guaranteeing the team is responsible for its Level 3 support, observability, and operational readiness — reliability is non-negotiable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong full-stack engineering experience with extensive knowledge of TypeScript / JavaScript (ES6+) (5+ years, including experience leading or setting the technical direction for a team).

• Familiarity with React and reactive state management (such as RX, MobX, or similar frameworks).

• Proficient in Rust, or a clear willingness and capability to learn — it is an integral part of our technology stack.

• Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems, API design, and real-time data (including REST, WebSockets, and network protocols) — you know what it takes to create software that is efficient and dependable under pressure.

• Capable of making and justifying architectural choices, and articulating the trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Prior experience in financial services or trading technology is preferred.
