Lead Forward Deployed Engineer – Migration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Lead the scoping, architectural design, and technical strategy for several customer-centric Forward Deployed Engineer teams.

• Create, develop, and implement robust software systems, tools, and automation that support customer solutions on Snowflake.

• Construct prototypes, assist in product feature development, and resolve product-related issues.

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and design, develop, and implement data solutions on Snowflake.

• Offer technical expertise, mentorship, and training on data management, analytics, AI/ML capabilities, and reporting/BI integration.

• Design scalable data pipelines and contemporary data architectures on Snowflake.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and efficient processing.

• Analyze and enhance data models, queries, and data processing workflows for improved performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Assess, recommend, and implement modern data integration tools and methodologies.

• Resolve technical challenges, performance issues, and operational problems.

• Serve as a reliable technical advisor to assist clients in attaining business value and success with Snowflake.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience collaborating with clients on intricate, multifaceted projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.

• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++.

• Experience in developing AI/ML applications.

• Strong grasp of data modeling, data warehousing, data lake concepts, and cloud data platforms.

• Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing setting.

• Significant advantage: previous experience in delivering complex data-driven application migrations.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

• Must adhere to Snowflake's confidentiality and security standards as well as the data security plan.
