Lead Engineer – Overhead Transmission Line

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design transmission structures and power lines for high voltage applications.

• Prepare and assess technical specifications and drawings.

• Conduct engineering analyses and simulations related to transmission line design.

• Mentor and provide training for junior engineers and team members.

• Execute independent reviews of calculations, drawings, specifications, and PLS-CADD models for transmission lines.

• Assist the project team during construction and installation phases.

• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to achieve project objectives.

• Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

• Engage in fieldwork as necessary for design, construction, and commissioning tasks.

• Interact with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

• Attend project meetings and offer technical support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).

• At least 7+ years of experience in transmission line design for high voltage projects.

• PE License is mandatory.

• In-depth knowledge of structural design and analysis principles and tools.

• Proficient understanding of foundation design and analysis.

• Expertise in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, FAD Tools, and AutoCAD.

• Familiarity with NESC, ASCE, ACI, RUS, IEC, and IEEE codes and standards.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects at the same time.
