
Lead Engineer – Network Security Monitoring

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Ensure that the visibility requirements for Cybersecurity are fulfilled by collaborating with Target’s wider Network Engineering team.
• Work closely with Cybersecurity stakeholders to create and consistently enhance our visibility posture, enabling the detection of network-based threats.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in network engineering, as well as network visibility architecture and design.
• Proven expertise in deploying, maintaining, and optimizing network traffic analysis hardware, platforms, and monitoring tools.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and experience in analyzing network traffic to identify operational or security-related challenges.
• Ability to effectively convey engineering solutions through comprehensive high-level and low-level technical diagrams and documentation.
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing and optimizing system capacity, performance, scalability, and operational health.
• Maintains extensive technical knowledge in core areas and applies that expertise to address complex engineering issues.
• Continuously enhances technical skills through formal education, industry research, and self-directed learning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities, with a capability to operate effectively in complicated environments.
