
Lead Engineer β Architect, .NET β Finance Group

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Design and actively develop the new ASP.NET Core / C# online banking platform, encompassing system architecture, service boundaries, data modeling, and API specifications.
β’ Create and execute essential features and components of the platform.
β’ Conduct code and design evaluations while establishing the technical standards.
β’ Guide and mentor a small agile team, manage sprints, assist engineers in overcoming obstacles, fulfill delivery commitments, and support through one-on-one sessions and pair programming.
β’ Collaborate with technology leaders, product management, QA, and security to convert business and regulatory requirements into effective solutions.
β’ Engage in shared architecture, cloud and CI/CD standards, and integrate AI functionalities into the platform.
β’ Promote engineering best practices, testing, CI/CD, and the use of contemporary AI development tools.
β’ Act as a forward-deployed engineer by collaborating with internal product partners to co-design, prototype, and launch products.
β’ Oversee AI-centric product development from start to finish, delivering LLM and agent-powered features with evaluation, guardrails, and cost/latency management.
β’ Develop full-stack and real-time experiences utilizing modern UX/UI, public REST APIs, SignalR, .NET Core/C#, and event-driven services.
β’ Manage infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, containerized deployments, and cloud delivery across Azure and/or AWS.
β’ Incorporate identity, security, compliance, data protection, and auditability into the platform.
β’ Recruit, mentor, and assist a small team of forward-deployed engineers.
β’ Over 5 years of experience in developing modern, data-intensive .NET web applications.
β’ Established track record as a tech lead or lead developer with direct team responsibility.
β’ Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET, including both Framework and modern .NET / Core.
β’ Strong experience with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
β’ Extensive REST API experience at scale.
β’ Proven background in financial services or online banking, ideally serving US banks, credit unions, or regulated financial entities.
β’ Front-end experience with contemporary JavaScript/UI frameworks such as Angular or React.
β’ Familiarity with Azure or AWS, along with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
β’ Knowledge of US banking security and compliance standards, including PCI DSS, SOC 2, and FFIEC guidelines.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
β’ Demonstrated ability to deliver products from concept to launch at speed.
β’ Hands-on experience in AI/LLM application development, including prompt and context engineering, RAG, and agentic patterns on platforms like Vertex AI/Gemini, OpenAI, or Azure OpenAI.
β’ Experience with orchestration tools such as LangChain and understanding of evaluation, guardrails, and cost management.
β’ Real-time and event-driven experience with SignalR, Azure Service Bus, or similar messaging solutions.
β’ Strong platform/DevOps expertise with Terraform, GitHub Actions CI/CD, containerization, and multi-cloud environments.
β’ Knowledge of identity, security, and compliance measures for regulated financial institutions, including IAM/OAuth2/OIDC, SSO/MFA, secrets management, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and FFIEC.
β’ Ability to work with multiple programming languages.
