Lead Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Establish quality benchmarks, provide actionable feedback based on performance metrics, and manage high-priority edits as necessary.

• Assess editors, identify skill gaps, make staffing choices, and foster team growth and development.

• Analyze footage, curate selections, maintain organized libraries, and repurpose content effectively.

• Collaborate with Production to ensure footage quality, identify issues early, and offer actionable, consumer-focused feedback.

• Share performance insights and enhance knowledge-sharing between editorial and Strategy teams.

• Represent the editorial team in cross-functional conversations while balancing creative aspirations with production realities.

• Make informed decisions regarding project scope, timelines, and team assignments.

• Optimize workflows, investigate new tools and AI capabilities, and address recurring challenges.

• Strong visual discernment and a comprehensive understanding of effective editing techniques.

• Capability to provide clear, actionable feedback that editors can implement swiftly.

• Solid understanding of how creative choices impact performance outcomes.

• Ability to mentor and develop editors, ensuring accountability while cultivating a talented team.

• Sound business acumen — able to perceive the broader context of creative and team requirements, acting decisively in a dynamic, high-output setting.

• Willingness to remain actively involved when senior-level attention is required.

• Over 7 years of professional video editing experience.

• More than 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.

• Expert-level proficiency in Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite.

• Strong familiarity with After Effects and motion graphics.

• Experience in performance marketing, a creative agency, or an in-house creative team.
