This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Spearhead the strategy and development of a multiyear modernization roadmap for Specialty Pharmacy value streams.
• Direct the design, foundational framework, and creation of Specialty Pharmacy products along with their technological assets.
• Evaluate software engineering practices and promote ongoing improvement, operational efficiency, time to market, and product quality.
• Lead engineering teams, providing guidance and mentorship for implementation across diverse technological platforms.
• Oversee hiring, performance management, team development, career progression, skill enhancement, coaching, and setting measurable professional objectives.
• Cultivate robust relationships with Business, Product, and Technology partners to facilitate the delivery roadmap.
• Conduct research and innovation in technology to formulate a long-term strategy based on emerging healthcare and technology trends.
• Supervise the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable solutions.
• Propel technology strategy for key Specialty Pharmacy value streams, supporting business growth and enhancing customer outcomes.
• Over 10 years of comprehensive Software Development experience utilizing Agile methodologies.
• More than 7 years of experience in developing microservices with Python and Java (Spring Boot).
• At least 5 years of experience with containerization tools and technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• A minimum of 1 year of experience using Agentic AI frameworks and generative AI-based web services and tools.
• Proven experience in hiring and leading high-performing distributed, multi-site/remote software engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills coupled with a data-driven mindset.
• Experience in defining and analyzing KPIs to evaluate project success.
• Open-source work that is publicly visible on GitHub.
• Familiarity with AI/ML algorithms, frameworks, and tools.
• Experience using AI-powered engineering tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams across various time zones and geographical areas.
• Background in the Healthcare or Pharmacy sector.
• Experience working with both onshore and offshore technology resources from vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience).
