Lead Director – Engineering

📋 Description

• Spearhead the transformation and modernization roadmaps that enhance Retail Front Store value streams

• Propel AI-driven transformations and execution strategies

• Collaborate with various engineering teams to formulate and implement technology strategies for Retail Front Store Modernization

• Strategize, construct, execute, and deliver roadmaps aimed at expediting transformations and AI-enabled modernizations

• Recognize and manage risks while guiding teams towards resolution

• Identify and oversee technical dependencies across workstreams

• Develop comprehensive program plans and ensure timely tracking

• Oversee program-level status reporting and maintain stakeholder communications

• Define, measure, and monitor metrics and KPIs to gauge success and business outcomes of the Front Store merchandising portfolio

• Foster AI adoption and establish best practices for technical execution and delivery

• Build and nurture relationships with business, product, technology partners, and vendors

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience as a Technology Program Delivery leader or in a software engineering role, overseeing the complete cycle of large software engineering initiatives, managing stakeholders, risk mitigation, issue resolution, KPI development, and reporting to senior leaders

• More than 8 years of experience leading teams within a matrix organization

• At least 4 years of experience collaborating with architecture, product, and PMO teams to influence product development and enhance products

• A minimum of 2 years in a leadership position coordinating efforts across software cross-functional teams

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience)

• Proven experience with distributed teams across various time zones and locations

• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile development methodologies

• Strong comprehension of delivery practices

• Experience in performance and people management

• Demonstrated ability to lead large programs with comprehensive planning responsibility

• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills

• Experience collaborating with technology vendors

• Strong work ethic; self-motivated individual who can maintain high productivity in a dynamic, collaborative environment
