Lead Director – Cloud Solution Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the architectural vision and roadmap for Aetna’s member-facing digital platforms, including web, mobile, and APIs.

• Ensure that architectures are intentionally designed to enhance member experience outcomes.

• Provide architectural oversight for comprehensive member journeys from start to finish.

• Promote consistent implementation of modern experience architectures across the board.

• Define architectural frameworks for AI-enabled digital experiences.

• Establish architecture standards, guidelines, and reference architectures.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of architects.

• Act as a reliable architectural advisor to senior leaders in Product, Digital, and Technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise application development and architecture.

• At least 5 years in leadership roles focused on architecture.

• Proven track record of managing member-facing digital platforms at scale.

• Extensive knowledge of cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure), APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Strong grasp of modern digital experience architectures, including web, mobile, personalization, and accessibility.

• Experience in defining and governing AI-enabled architectures within regulated environments.

• Outstanding communication, influence, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Familiarity with operating in Agile/SAFe or similar scaled delivery environments.
