Lead Developer, C# – .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical liaison within the development team while actively participating in development tasks.

• Make technical choices in daily operations without holding disciplinary management duties.

• Develop your own features and address bugs during the sprint.

• Take charge of intricate technical assignments and tackle architectural issues.

• Contribute to architectural decisions concerning modularization, interfaces, and security.

• Transform C#/.NET and MS SQL core systems into robust, containerized services operating within a Kubernetes cluster.

• Take into account observability, performance, scalability, security, and deployment needs.

• Offer technical assistance during refinement sessions and clearly articulate technical concepts to Product Managers.

• Enhance and optimize CI/CD pipelines.

• Establish Clean Code methodologies, code reviews, and automated testing with a shift-left approach.

• Advocate for shorter development cycles and dependable deployments.

• Create, document, and disseminate knowledge throughout the team.

• Contribute to process and system documentation while developing technical best-practice guides and standards.

• Provide technical mentoring and coaching to fellow developers.

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new team members.

• Encourage continuous learning and professional interaction.

• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager on technical issues and the team’s technical trajectory.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of experience in web application development using C#/.NET.

• Strong expertise in MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and contemporary backend architectures.

• Experience with Angular (v15+) and RabbitMQ is advantageous.

• Experience in integrating new technologies and digital solutions.

• Thorough understanding of the applications and limitations of AI in an enterprise environment.

• Experience with AI-/LLM-assisted development; integrating AI-based features is a plus.

• Proven hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes, fully automated deployments, and Infrastructure as Code.

• In-depth knowledge of designing, scaling, and orchestrating services.

• Familiarity with GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and automated unit and system testing.

• Enjoyment in providing technical mentoring and coaching.

• Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly, even to non-technical stakeholders.

• Interest in comprehending the business and engaging in discovery processes with Product Managers and stakeholders.

• Proficiency in English at least at C1 level.

• Proficiency in German at least at B2 level.
