Lead Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver advanced technical leadership and supervision for the design, documentation, and execution of intricate building automation and control systems.

• Mentor a team of Senior Design Engineers, ensuring excellence in engineering and adherence to design standards.

• Direct the design and execution of DDC control systems throughout all phases of projects.

• Supervise the creation of HVAC and building automation control system designs, schematics, and wiring details.

• Conduct and manage QA/QC reviews of drawings, submittals, and as-built documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

• Strong expertise in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical for the design and documentation of control systems.

• Advanced comprehension of HVAC systems, control sequences, and DDC integration.

• Extensive knowledge of control communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.).

• Familiarity with relevant codes: NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, UL 508A, and local energy codes.

• Proven leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• 7+ years of progressive experience in building automation, MEP design, or industrial controls.
