This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of Coupa’s AI-readiness layer for data, which includes establishing source-of-truth designations and making data fitness decisions for AI applications.
• Establish and disseminate enterprise standards for AI-ready data assets.
• Expand the data catalog into an AI asset inventory, categorizing assets as AI-ready, AI-restricted, or AI-prohibited.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Data Management to refresh data quality flowing into vector stores, RAG indexes, and prompt-time lookups.
• Connect governed metric definitions and lineage to consumers of AI.
• Outline requirements for AI-aware data quality monitoring.
• Create and maintain Coupa’s AI data governance playbook and associated policies.
• Develop and manage an intake and review process for new AI use cases, aiming for a five-business-day turnaround.
• Convert GDPR, SOC 2, EU AI Act, and NIST AI RMF requirements into operational standards.
• Engage in AI Delivery & Execution planning, participate in sprint reviews, and involve yourself in architecture discussions.
• Co-manage the AI/API gateway strategy, defining governance, outcomes, and observability requirements.
• Specify controls for the gateway concerning PII detection/redaction, prompt sanitization, content filtering, and prompt/response logging.
• Establish observability and reporting requirements for the gateway, covering usage, anomalies, costs, and SLAs.
• Collaborate with AI engineers on data sourcing and human-in-the-loop decisions.
• Jointly address AI quality incidents across the gateway, RAG pipeline, and source records.
• Over 8 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years in a role such as Data Product Manager, Technical Program Manager, or a similar position responsible for data products and leading cross-functional implementations.
• Proven experience in delivering AI/ML solutions from start to finish in an enterprise setting.
• Practical knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and agent frameworks.
• Understanding of issues like hallucination, prompt injection, data leakage, and training-data contamination failure modes.
• Familiarity with data governance principles and frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or DCAM.
• Direct experience with data quality standards, CDE frameworks, source-of-truth designations, or metadata/catalog programs.
• Knowledge of API governance platforms and gateway strategies.
• Proficient in SQL for data quality profiling against warehouse tables, such as Snowflake.
• Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, and NIST AI RMF.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting policies, playbooks, and decision memos.
