This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design and implement intricate healthcare, clinical, provider, and financial data sets.
• Serve as an internal consultant for reporting, dashboards, data visualization, and data extraction.
• Create reporting solutions and analytical methodologies tailored to current and emerging business needs.
• Support the organization’s strategic objectives and foster data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with diverse departments on business intelligence and analytics requirements.
• Execute data mining and extraction utilizing electronic health records, eligibility, claims, and other data sources.
• Enhance data collection and analytic processes for business intelligence and decision support.
• Gather, analyze, interpret, and present comparative data on providers, members, clinical outcomes, and costs.
• Incorporate benchmark information into analyses.
• Detect, investigate, and relay cost and utilization trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities to lower total healthcare costs.
• Educate team members and others on data, tools, solution processes, and business insights.
• Align common practices, validation, and documentation with company and industry standards.
• Identify, suggest, and execute process enhancements and automation initiatives.
• Bachelor’s Degree in data analytics or a related field.
• Proven coursework in systems analysis, computer science, SQL, statistics, databases, or similar areas.
• Over 8 years of experience handling data.
• Prior experience generating a variety of reports using Business Intelligence or Analytics tools (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SQL Management Studio, Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI).
• More than 8 years of practical knowledge and demonstrated use of dimensional databases as data sources for reporting.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in computer science, business management, health or public administration, or similar fields.
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience with managed care applications such as GE Centricity, Epic, Cerner, etc.
